Troubadour White City is dead... long live Troubadour Light City

Plans submitted for new temporary theatre for a period of up to 10-years

Troubadour White City was a temporary theatre and events venue which opened its doors for a short while at White City Place. Intended to be a "meanwhile" use prior to the construction of White City Gateway, the venue comprised a 1,200 seat theatre, as well as a separate 800 seat performance space and 100 cover restaurant.

The theatre hosted a production of Peter Pan in 2019 before being taken over by Burberry for London fashion week. With the development of White City Gateway seemingly coming forward sooner than expected, the theatre was closed and dismantled.

Troubadour are now bringing forward a proposal for a new theatre on the future site of Imperial College's White City South campus.

The planning application was received by Hammersmith and Fulham Council in November 2021, and proposes four temporary structures, for a period of up to 10-years, which are slated for use as two theatre spaces, a food hall with restaurants and bars, gym, and office space.

Troubadour currently have venues at Wembley Park, and Meridian Water Studios.
